IBPS has announce the common exam for bank clerks 2011. Here are some important details regarding the common exam for bank clerks 2011.

Dates:
Online application : August 25 – Sep 24, 2011
Written test date: November 27, 2011

List of banks where the scorecard will be considered
The scorecard of the common bank will be considered in the following 19 public banks - Allahabad Bank,Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, UCO Bank & Vijaya Bank.

Eligibility criteria for Common exam for bank clerks 2011
Age limit: 18 - 28 yrs, as on 1.08.2011
Educational Qualification: 60% marks in Matric/ Std.10th/ SSLC OR 50% marks in Hsc/ Std.12th or Intermediate/ Pre-university level OR Pass in degree (any discipline)from a recognized university, as on 1.08.2011
* Candidate will have to take test from a state where you prefer to work (can apply to vacancies in that state only, in future)
* Proficiency in the official language of that state is desired.

Paper patter for Common exam for bank clerks 2011
The paper will be objective only, having 250 questions.The total marks is 250 and for each wrong answer - 0.25 would be reduced as negative mark.

After the exam those getting minimum cut-off mark will get scorecards from IBPS.You can apply with the scorecard in various banks when they declare any vacancy.

How to apply for Common exam for bank clerks 2011
Application: Fee of Rs.50 (SC/ST) or Rs.350 (others) can be paid online (credit/ debit cards. You can also make payment at any of the branches of Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Central bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank & United Bank of India from 24.08.2011 to 23.09.2011.

After getting the payment receipt you can apply online at www.ibps.in. You need to upload your signature & photo while applying online.
